Warri man challenges Lagos governor to DNA test
Emmanuel Moses Sanwo-Olu has filed a peternity suit against Babajide Sanwo-Olu, claiming he was a biological son of the second term seeking Lagos State governor.
According to Nigeria Lawyers report the suit which was filed August 1 2022 at a Delta State High Court sitting in Effurun
Delta State, SUIT NO.: EHC/148/2022 between Emmanuel Moses Sanwo-Olu and Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Moses Sanwo-Olu is claiming that he was the product of a relationship which existed between his mother, Grace Moses and the Defendant in 1994/95, when Mr. Sanwo-Olu was working with a private firm in Warri, Delta State.
In his Writ of Summons issued by J. O. Aikpokpo-Martins, Esq., the Claimant is praying the court for;
a. A declaration that the Defendant is the biological father of the Claimant begotten from Madam Grace Moses of Oleri, Delta State.
b. An order directing and compelling the Defendant to acknowledge and accord the claimant all the rights of a son in accordance with all the laws applicable whether customarily, statutorily or constitutionally.
c. An Order of perpetual injunction restraining the defendant from further denying the parenthood of the claimant.
Moses Sanwo-Olu claimed that his mother informed him that a man known as Jide Sanwo-Olu was his father. He has therefore challenged the Lagos governor to submit himself for a DNA test as the case progresses.
So far there has been no reaction from the camp of Mr. Sanwo-Olu.
