The All Progressives Congress’ (APC) senatorial candidate for Jigawa central in the 2023 elections Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa has passed while on medical treatment in China.
Kiyawa, a former House of Assembly member who Dutse/Kiyawa constituency died on Saturday August 13, due to a lung infection. He had been treated in a private hospital in Abuja before being flown to China.
Jigawa State governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, in his condolence message to Kiyawa’s family, said his loss was great to the nation. Noting that he made valuable contributions to the growth of democracy in Nigeria.
