Nigeria’s Falconets have maintained their good run at the FIFA U20 Women world cup in Costa Rica, by beating South Korea 1-0.
Midfielder Easther Onyenezide from outside the box with a long range shot scored in the 83rd minute to give Nigeria all six points in group C. The match played at the Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium in Alajuela saw the Falconets dominating the game, but the Koreans put up a good fight and had more shots at goal.
By the victory the Falconets have booked their place for the next round. They will play against Canada on Thursday
The Nigerian women also had beaten France in their first group C match.
