Coalition of Fulbe Professionals in Africa has called on all Nigerians to disregard remarks by Miyetti Allah for all Fulani voters to reject Labour Party candidate Peter Obi in next year’s presidential elections.
Alhasan Salah the national secretary of Miyetti Allah in an interview said: “As far as we are concerned, we know those we cannot vote for. You see the one that they call Obi or OBIdient, any Fulani man who votes for him must be questioned because he may not be a true son of the soil.”
However, according to a statement released by the Fulani professional group and signed by its president, Prof. Mohammed Gidado, and Secretary, Hajiya Mairo Modibo said: “ Miyetti Allah don’t have the right to speak for the entire Fulani in Nigeria, especially when they have not lived up to expectations.”
