Ahmed Shuaibu Gara Gombe has joined the bus load of contestants for the Nigeria Football Federation top job.
The elections into the executive board of the NFF would hold September 30 and according to the former Gombe United chairman and sports consultant, his entrance into the race is borne out of his desire to see a veritable football administration that will usher in progress in all aspects of the country’s game.
Gara Gombe who tagged his campaign “Total recovery of football,” said he was confident of scaling all the hurdles to becoming NFF president and then carry out his 10 point agenda.
“I’m stepping forward to contest because of my desire to see football thriving in all aspects in the country again.
“I’ve been in football all my life and have sound knowledge and capability to lead the nation’s football out of the woods into an era of prosperity.”
His 10 point agenda includes Transparency, Accountability, Financial independence, Professionalism and Staff welfare, Good governance, Players welfare, Infrastructural development, Inclusiveness and Institutional collaboration.
