Super Eagles and Napoli of Italy striker Victor Osimhen is not going to Manchester United on any swap deal, his agent Roberto Calenda has said.
Reports in Italy had suggested that Osimhen could be heading to Manchester United in a swap deal that would see Cristiano Ronaldo go the other way before the summer window closes.
However, Calenda said in a tweet that there are no negotiations going on and Osimhen is staying put at Napoli.
“No negotiations in progress, no swap deal.
“Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with Napoli after winning it on the pitch with pride together with the coach and teammates.”
Osimhen was linked to several clubs this summer, but Napoli made it clear that they would be ready to negotiate if interested clubs can match their $120m evaluation of their star player. Osimhen still has three years left on his current contract.
