Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, and his board of directors have been meeting to take a decision on the proposed transfer deal involving a swap between Victor Osimhen and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Manchester United are reported be interest in signing the Super Eagles striker and Napoli are open to make a deal if United can match the $120m price tag on the Napoli top striker, in addition to Ronaldo moving the other way on loan with United paying 80-85% of his salary.
Speaking on the matter Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti said on Sunday that it would be difficult for the Partenopei to turn down an offer exceeding €100m, but insisted that Osimhen wants to play Champions League football with his current club.
“I don’t have time to think about these things, we have a game every few days. Is the club thinking about it? The club thinks of any situation that is of interest to our players.
“I say that if a club offers you €100m, it is not easy to say no. Since I arrived here, all the players have been on the market for the right price,” said the coach.
