Back in time...Abdulsalami Abubakar handing over power to Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999.

Former military head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar said it was time old politicians make way for younger and energetic politicians as the country marched towards the 2023 presidential elections.
Abdulsalami made the remark while welcoming the Accord Party presidential candidate Christopher Imumolen, to his residence in Minna Niger State. He said Professor Imumolen was his choice of President for the country.
“The old ones should fade away gracefully and allow young people to take over,” he said.
“What we can do as former leaders is to tutor them in whatever way we can in order for them to lead the country.
“As a matter of fact, this is the time Nigerians should begin to support young, vibrant and visionary leaders that would steer the country on the path of glory.”
