Algeria’s Desert Foxes and the Super Eagles will lock horns during the September 27 international break.
The match according to the Nigeria Football Federation would be played in the Algeria City of Oran. Both Nigeria and Algeria made painful exit from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, after being eliminated by Ghana and Cameroon respectively.
The African Cup of Nations qualifiers were scheduled to take place this month, but Confederation of Africa Football cancelled the games to allow African World Cup representatives time to prepare.
The Super Eagles were set to face Guinea-Bissau home and away in the Afcon qualifiers during this month’s window while the Desert Foxes had a date with Niger before the postponement.
The Super Eagles had kicked off their qualification campaign with wins against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome whom they beat with a record 10-0 thumping.
