Nigeria’s 100m hurdles sensation Tobi Amusan has continued with her record breaking streak, next for her was Gail Devers 22-year-old record at the Diamond League meeting Weltklasse, Zurich.
Amusan ran 12.29 seconds to beat the field and proved that she will continue to own the hurdles for a good number of races to come. Her time erases the 12.39 meeting record set by American runner Devers in 2000.
The Ogun-born 12.12 seconds world record holder proved too strong for her rivals on the track, they had to play catch up, as Amusan coasted home to a comfortable victory. Tia Jones of the USA was second with 12.40seconds, Jamaica’s Britany Anderson was third with 12.42 seconds, Jamine Camacho-Quinn 2020 Olympics champion was forthwith 12.49.
