Chelsea striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang said Chelsea new coach Graham Potter can bring the Blues season back on track, after they played a 1-1 draw against visiting Red Bull Salzburg in Wednesday night’s Champions league.
Aubayang joined Chelsea on deadline day and just before he could settle down, Thomas Tuchel, the coach who brought back to London from Barcelona was sacked. However, Graham started Aubameyang in the game against the Austrian side.
“I think he is a person who is really positive and with a great character,” Aubameyang said.
“We will try to learn with him. We want to win as soon as possible.
“I think his idea is very clear so I think it is going to be easy. I think it takes time to adapt to each other as well but it is going to be okay.”
Speaking of the UCL game he said: “I am a bit frustrated about the result,” the former Arsenal man said. “We played well and, unfortunately, we needed to score a few more goals to win the game.
“I need more time to recover from my injury. I am not 100%. It is not easy to play with a mask and injury but hopefully, I will get to 100% as soon as possible.”
Chelsea will meet Liverpool on Sunday, it would be another opportunity for Potter to prove he is the right man for the job.
