Leicester City’s Premier League woes continued Saturday with Son Heung-min coming off the bench to score a hat-trick in Tottenham’s 6-2 thrashing of the Foxes at the Tottenham Stadium North London.
Leicester took the lead after Youri Tielemans scored from the penalty spot. The moment of confidence did not last long, Harry Kane leveled up from a corner kick. Eric Dier added the second also with a header from a corner.
Wilfred Ndidi gifted Tottenham the third goal after he was caught in possession by Bentancur and he strolled through, passing it into the bottom corner with minimal fuss.
Son who had been struggling for form all season had a bonanza of sorts after he replaced Richarlison in the 59 minute and he ended his goal drought scoring three goals to complete the Leicester routing. Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy were thrown into the fray in the 74 minute but they fired blanks.
Leicester remain rooted at the bottom of the table.
