Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has left the training camp of the national team after he picked up an injury.
Ndidi has now joined the Super Eagles injury list, which include Victor Osimhen, Henry Onyekuru, Ahmed Musa, Leon Balogun and Emmanuel Dennis. It is unclear if Super Eagles coach Jose Poseiro will call in another player to replace Ndidi. He has returned to his club Leicester to have scans for the knock.
Ndidi has not played any game since Poseiro took charge of the team. The injury prone Ndidi missed the African Nations Cup qualifier games against Sierra Leone and Sao Tome.
The Super Eagles bench would now rely on the 23 players remaining for the game against Algerian B side on Friday and then the A team on Tuesday next.
