An elderly man Stephen Jack, 84, is cooling off in police custody after he was arrested for defiling an eight-year-old girl in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Ogun State Police PRO Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed that the suspect was picked up after the father of the victim reported the case to the police. The father had noticed blood streaming from the girl’s vigina and upon interogation, she confessed that the suspect forced himself on her.
“Upon the report, DPO Obalende division, SP Murphy Salami, detailed detectives to the scene, where the randy old man was apprehended.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the old man is a known pedophile in the area. The victim has been taken to General Hospital Ijebu Ode for medical treatment,” Oyeyemi said.
