Elections into the executive board of the Nigeria Football Federation is expected to hold as scheduled September 30 in Benin City, Edo State.
Observers from the world soccer governing body FIFA, Confederation of African football and most of the contestants are here waiting for the go ahead for the elections as the appeal court sitting in Abuja cleared all the hurdles.
The NFF had filed an appeal praying for the vacation of the ruling by a Federal High Court ordering the elections to put on hold.
“From all reckoning we expect the election to hold. Everything has been put in place.
“FIFA and CAF officials are in town already and so do some of NFF delegates.
” We are doing everything possible to have a smooth run of the electoral process,” said Edo State Sports Commission chairman Yusuf Alli in Benin City.
