Barring unforeseen circumstances, Nigeria’s Super Eagles will keep a date with their Costa Rican counterparts for an international friendly November 9 in San Jose.
According to Jairo Pachon who is Nigeria Football Federation match agent, the Super Eagles have been invited to play against the FIFA 2022 World Cup bound Costa Rica national team. The Los Ticos are in the same group E with Spain, Germany and Japan.
The game is scheduled for the National Stadium in San Jose and will kick off 8pm Costa Rica time (3am, 10th November in Nigeria).
It is not yet clear if the NFF will sign on for the game since Nigeria have a match against Portugal on November 17 in Lisbon.
Costa Rica hosted this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals where Nigeria’s Falconets reached the quarter-finals, defeating France, Korea Republic and Canada in the group phase.
