The Police in Enugu State are now trying to unravel the mysterious deaths of five family members in Amutenyi, Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu.
The dead include the mother Chinyere Odoh, Udochwukwu Odoh, 7, Emeka Odoh, 4, Marta Ezeme and Ngozi Ezeme who were sisters to Mrs Odoh. They were found dead in their apartment Sunday morning.
According to Enugu State PRO Daniel Ndukwe investigations are on to determine the cause of the deaths, which are not of natural causes.
He said when the Police arrived at the scene, the lifeless bodies of the victims were found in different rooms, adding that the deceased have been deposited in the morgue for autopsy, assuring that the investigations would be speedy.
Last week similar deaths occured in Kogi state. First it was a family of four who were reported to have eaten Amala for dinner, then a famy five whose cause of death is yet to be determined by the police.
