Singer Teni has dedicated her MON national awards to girls urging them not to stop dreaming.
She added that she was back to work and her fans should expect ‘new music soon.’
Teni who was criticised for not having a handshake with President Muhammadu Buhari after receiving her awards said that receiving the awards was an honour. She posted on her Instagram page: “With honour and gratitude to God, it was indeed a joyous moment to receive a national honour yesterday. I was conferred MON (MEMBER OF THE ORDER OF THE NIGER) by His excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR @Muhammadu Buhari President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the National Awards Committee headed by Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed after going through over 5,000 submission.
“I was granted this award for “Consistent and meaningful participation in community and national development, rendering unsolicited, selfless and philanthropic services to humanity; outstanding sacrifices in the defence of a cause popularly adjudged to be positive, relevant beneficial to the nation to and community.’’
“To all the young girls this one is for you. Lets not forget to stop dreaming. Nothing is impossible.”
