Lagos State commissioner of information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso said medics who handled late reality TV star Patrick Fakoya a.k.a Rico Swavey acted unprofessionally and are now under investigation.
This is a fall-out of an online video showing the medics at the hospital bumbling around, while Rico Swavey was in their care. In the video the medics could be heard saying “You people should stop making the video; somebody is dying, you people are making video.”
“That hospital is not a government hospital; we have started an investigation into the unprofessional conducts of those who appeared in that video.” Mr Omotoso said Friday
Rico Swavey was involved in a car crash in the Lekki-Ajah axis and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition on Tuesday. But he died on Thursday morning after battling for his life in the undisclosed hospital. A life support machine could be seen on the bed he was lying on, it was placed between his wide opened legs. It was an indication that the medics in the hospital didn’t know what they were doing.
