The leadership crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party is still raging unabated as Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike and his allies are unyielding in their demand for the resignation of Party chairman Iyoirchia Ayu.
Wike and his counterparts from Oyo Seyi Makinde, Benue Samuel Ortom and Abia Okezie Ikpeazu left Port Harcourt Saturday Morning for Spain to deliberate more on the way forward with regards to the presidential ambition of Party flag-bearer Abubakar Atiku.
The PDP ‘resisting quartet’ were seen at the Port Harcourt International Airport as they prepared to board a private jet bound for Madrid, Spain according to a Rivers State PDP stalwart.
On Friday Wike during an interview with various media had boasted that PDP would lose the elections without the support of his group. He reiterated his call for Ayu to step aside, for genuine reconciliation to take place. A line Atiku is not ready to tow.
