Benue State governor Samuel Ortom has urged Nigerians to make the right choice of President in the 2023 general elections if they want their country to return from the brink.
Ortom who was speaking when the Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi paid him a courtesy call at his private residence in Abuja said Nigerians deserve a President that is visionary and can make the country work again.
“As we go into the elections let us take a look at the people running for president.
“Let us see who can deliver and make things work for our country. We must be frank with ourselves and make the right choice otherwise we would be toying with our future.
“Nigeria, a country of 200m people, deserves a President that is proactive, has foresight and can make things work.
“I’m looking at the situation where the three front runners would sit down and say let this man go forward.
“If I were not in PDP I’d be working for Peter Obi. Honestly Nigerians should look for a President who can fix Nigeria and there should be no sentiment on where you come from and which religion you belong to,” Ortom said.
