Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina opened scoring for his club Torino as they beat Udinese 2-1 at home. It was Udinese’s first defeat in nine Serie A games.
Former Super Eagles striker Isaac Success was also in action, but made way in the second half as Udinese battled for the equaliser.
Torino took the lead in the 14th minute after Aina tucked in a well laid pass by Aleksei Miranchuk from 12 yards. It was Aina first goal for Torino and his second Serie A goal, both goals were against Udinese.
Udinese were gifted the equaliser when Torino’s keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and David Zima back passing was intercepted by Destiny Udogie who laid on the ball for Gerard Deulofeu to deposit into an empty net. They almost got the second after Deulofeu completed a give-and-go with Isaac Success’ back-heel flick, but were denied by Milinkovic-Savic at the near post.
However, Toro restored their lead when Nemanja Radonjic’s splendid cushioned volley of a pass sent Pietro Pellegri into the space, holding off Bijol to surprise Silvestri at the near post.
