Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has urged his Napoli team mates to keep their winning streak going, in their quest to dominate Serie A and win the Champions League.
Osimhen is expected to file out against Rangers who will visit the Diego Maradona Stadium on Wednesday, in what would be like a ceremonial match since Napoli already qualify for the UCL round 16 having won all their games so far.
The Super Eagles striker dug deep to score the only goal of last Sunday’s Serie A game against defensive Roma at the Olympic Stadium in Rome, it was Napoli’s 11th win of the season in all competitions.
“We just want to keep building on this momentum. The season is still young, so we are taking it one game at a time. Of course, I am proud of this team,” Osimhen said.
“Just like I said last time, we have great solidarity in the team, everyone knows what they need to do at the right time.”
He said staying out for five weeks gave him the motivation to come out strong in a big way in the game against Roma.
“Those five weeks out were tough for me, but they gave me the motivation to keep going,” he added, stressing that the goal was for his daughter and girlfriend.
“The hand gesture is for my daughter and my girlfriend. Every time I score a goal, I dedicate it to them. They are the most important thing to me,”
