Super Eagles defender Ola Aina will be out of action till January 2023 after suffering a hamstring injury during training with his club Torino.
Aina who scored in Torino’s 2-1 win over Udinese in last weekend’s Serie A game picked up the injury Thursday. The club’s website said Aina felt uncomfortable and left training and tests revealed strain in his left hamstring. It said further tests would be carried out to determine the extent of the damage.
‘Footballer Ola Aina finished today’s session early. The first tests have shown discomfort in the left hamstring that will be assessed with further examinations in the coming days.”
He played ten games for Torino so far and has been impressive in defence.
The injury will rule him out of the Super Eagles friendly against Portugal on November 17 in Lisbon.
