Liverpool are eight points off the top four after losing to Leeds United 2-1 at Anfield and coach Jurgen Klopp admits his prospect of getting a Champions League spot is slim.
Liverpool have lost two games in a row after win. It was thought that their win over Mancester City, was a turning point in their struggle to get off block this season, but the loss to Leeds have cast a shadow on their ambition.
When asked if he was worried about a top-four finish, he told the Liverpool Echo: “Yes. That’s actually not my main worry at the moment as I have a lot of other worries. But, of course, I’m not that dumb that I don’t know about distances and who is up there.
“You cannot qualify for the Champions League if you play as inconsistent as we do at the moment. We have to fix that. Then we will see where we end up.
“We all know that a lot of things are possible, but for that we have to win football games which we haven’t done that often.”
