President Muhammadu Buhari is being expect to leave Monday, October 31, for London to get a routine medical check up.
A tweet by the President’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina stated that Buhari will spend two weeks in the UK while undergoing the tests. On Monday, Buhari had presided over an emergency meeting with the service chiefs at the State House Abuja to review the security situation in the country.

Buhari who recently returned from South Korea had made several medical trips abroad since becoming in 2015. In 2016 he made two medical trips abroad and in 2017 he made three trips to abroad for treatment spending over a 100 days out of his office. In 2018 he made two trips, 2021 he was away for 15 days seeking medical attention. This is his second medical trip this year having taken a two-week break in March.
