Star striker Victor Osimhen has been ruled out of Thursday’s international friendly between Portugal and Nigeria billed for the Estadio Jose Alvalade, Lisbon.
The Nigeria Football Federation said in a tweet Monday that the Napoli top striker is nursing an injury and would be replaced by Cyriel Dessers. Chidozie Awaziem will replace Olisa Ndah who is also injured. The NFF did not disclose the nature of Osimhen’s injury, he was in action and scored in Napoli’s 3-2 win over Udinese last weekend.
Already as at Monday evening the players who have reached Lisbon include Alex Iwobi, Paul Onuachu, Emmaunel Dennis, Joe Aribo, Ademola Lookman, Kevin Akpoguma, Oghenekaro Etebo, William Troost-Ekong, Duru Ebube, Calvin Bassey and Bruno Onyemaechi
