Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike has told Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi to count on him anytime Obi is in Port Harcourt to campaign.
Mr. Obi was a guest of the Rivers strongman at the commissioning of the Ikoku Flyover in Port Harcourt. Speaking during the event, Wike said Obi has what it takes to be President of Nigeria.
“Each time you want to campaign in the state, let me know, all the logistics support, we will give to you,” Wike said.
“I know you as a person, you have all the criteria, you have all the characteristics to lead this country, you have it. Nobody can deny that”
He said spoke against Obi recently because of envy.
“You have worked very well in Anambra. But some people, because of the level you are now, are envying you, they can come out and say all manner of rubbish, don’t worry, that is how it is.
“It is your own people that will kill you first, so don’t bother about those things. I have told people, stop criticizing people who have already left. If you are a professor, professor well, if you are a doctor, doctor well,”
