Panic has gripped residents of Kubwa, Abuja after gunmen stormed the area and kidnapped a National Youth Service Corps member and eight others on Tuesday night. The gunmen who reportedly entered town from the Arab Road extension came down from a hill and started shooting, leaving one citizen dead and another injured on the scene. The corps member identified only as Adenike, said to be the only daughter of her parents, and the others unfortunately fell into the hands of the kidnappers. “Apart from the Youth Corper, we are looking for seven other residents. Nobody can sleep anymore. It was like a war zone the way they were shooting. Luckily two of those kidnapped escaped. That is how we knew seven persons were taken away. “From Amilomania Street, they moved to Toyin Street, all in Extension 2 Relocation, along Arab Road, in Kubwa, One of the victims shot dead is a popular tailor in the area,” said one of the residents in the area
