A newborn baby girl has survived a two day ordeal in a toilet after she was rejected and dumped in toilet by her father at the Government Day Secondary School Dunne in the Song Local government area of Adamawa State. The baby whose umbilical cord was still attached was rescued by a passerby who heard her cries of agony and was taken to the hospital for medical care. According to SaharaReporters, the baby’s father Ibrahim Lalle who is Muslim rejected her, because the mother who bore her Hande Daniel was a Christian. It was gathered that Lalle’s mother urged her son to reject the baby because the mother was not a Muslim and Lalle acting on his mother’s instruction wrapped the baby dumped her in the toilet. Adamawa State Police spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje confirmed the sad tale. He said: “The newborn baby was rescued by a good Samaritan and is currently being medically attended to.”
Meanwhile two suspects, the baby’s mother and grandmother are in our custody. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the principal suspect, after which they will be charged to court for the law to take its course.”
