Chelsea have joined the chase to sign Napoli’s top striker, Victor Osimhen and have readied a bid of over $120m. The Blues according to reports in the UK are keen to land Osimhen currently leading the Serie A goals chart with 14 goals from 16 games in the summer. They join Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, which have also been linked to the Super Eagles striker. His success both domestically and in the Champions League inevitably attracted attention from the biggest and most financially powerful clubs in the world, so reports are gearing up for a summer bidding war. Under new owner Todd Boehly, Chelsea have already shattered transfer records with a January spending spree that saw them splash out €330m in January alone. They have also been linked with Milan winger Rafael Leao, despite agreeing a €66m deal with RB Leipzig for Christopher Nkunku. Osimhen is on course to win the Serie A title with Napoli and if that is achieved, he could be tempted to make a move in the summer. Napoli also would be ready to do business, if any club can table an offer that meets the price tag they have slammed on the player.
