Paul Onuachu’s aim of playing against Brentford in his first Premier League match for Southampton was dashed as he is yet to get work permit. The Super Eagles striker and Ghana’s Kamaldeen Sulemana had hope to be issued work permits by the UK home office on Friday, but this did not materialised, they will now wait till next week to try again. Saints boss Nathan Jones said, “We are uncertain because it is about their work permits. “We will hopefully see them in the near future. “They are in the building, but what we can do with them is limited due to the situation with the work permits.” “You’re better off ringing the Home Office to find out. We can keep asking but until we get clarification on their work permits, neither will be involved.”
