If the 2023 general elections were held today Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi is favoured to win according to a poll by Stears Nigeria. Obi is the popular candidate in all the polls released so far, but according to the Stears Nigeria projection All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu might win if there was a low turn-out of voters. The Labour Party leads with 41pecent amongst registered voters; Tinubu is second with 31pecent, while Peoples Democratic Party candidate Abubakar Atiku is third with 20percent. 36percent of voters are undecided and they could be the swing factor in the voting pattern.
Stears, in a poll released on Tuesday, stated that “poll covers 6,220 respondents across Nigeria’s 36 States, making it the largest telephone-based electoral poll in Nigeria.” “Stears prediction model believes that Tinubu has the most silent voters i.e. people who intend to vote for Tinubu but choose not to disclose this during an interview.”
