Napoli and Super Eagles top striker Victor Osimhen was spotted in Berlin Wednesday in company of his German-Cameroon girlfriend Stephanie Ladewig and their one-year daughter.
Osimhen won the Serie A title with Napoli and ended up as the top scorer in the Italian League. He has been linked with a move even as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis insisted that his striker is not going anywhere, but wouldn’t hesitate if any club can match the $130m price tag on the player.
Bayern Munich have been reported as one his likely destination and his appearance in Berlin where he was seen checking out of the famous hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin fuelled speculations he could be returning to the German Bundesliga in the summer.
His girlfriend Ludewig, who was raised in Wolfsburg, where Osimhen played for two years, is urging him to return so that their daughter Hailey True can grow close to her grandmother.
Osimhen will play his last game of the season Sunday when Napoli face Bolona. He has had a magnificent season after a rough start at Napoli. He broke AC Milan legend George Weah to become Serie A’s highest-scoring African player in history, and his dazzling 2022/23 campaign saw him beat Samuel Eto’o’s record for most goals scored by an African player in a single season.
