Nigeria’s Flying Eagles must avoid defeat in their last group D match against Brazil at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
A draw with Brazil will make their advance certain as the group may just become slippery with Brazil, Italy and Nigeria likely to end up with six points each. Nigeria beat Dominica Republic 2-1 in their opening match, while the Brazilians fell to Italians 3-2,however they bounced back with a 6-0 thrashing of Dominica, while the Flying Eagles recorded an upset win over Italy with a 2-0.
According to Brazil coach Ramon Meneze, their aim will be to defeat Nigeria and get six points and with Italy like to beat Dominica Republic all the three top teams will be equal on six points.
“The World Cup is very difficult and our group is very balanced. Nigeria already has six points. It was worth a lot for the difference,” Menezes told Globo.
“Now it’s time to recover these players, show the difficulties of this decisive game, and football doesn’t even have time to celebrate.
“We already have a trip, we have to train to play a great game on Saturday.”
Nigeria have six points and three goals difference, Brazilis on three points with 5 goals difference, while Italy has three points withone goal difference.
