Top Nollywood producer, Emeka Rising Ibeh said Nigerians are about to see the next generation of actors as plans have reached an advanced stage to embark on a talent hunt.
Mr. Rising who is president of the Lagos Chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, hinted that Multi Choice Nigeria has a partnership with his domain to produce top notch movies, which they would be airing and to this end activities are unfolding to meet up with the Lagos AGN side of the bargain.
“Yes we are in partnership with Multi Choice to produce a series of films and so we are starting a film competition in which we would have a cast of young up and coming talents,” said Mr. Raising after a meeting of the Lagos AGN at the O’jez Recreational Centre in Ebute Meta
He added that the main aim of the partnership was to discover the next generation of Nigerian actors and actresses adding that the country has never been short of talents.
“From here we hope to discover talents like Jim Ike and Ini Edo, these are actors I’ve worked with right from their humble beginnings.
“When we are done doing the movies, there would be a premiere and there would be judges to select the best picture, actors and so on.
“The national president of the AGM has instructed that all state chapters should give us whatever support we might need and also, Ojez Entertainment has given us their full backing for this venture.”
