Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi have been retained by Leicester City as the club confirmed that Seven players will leave when their contracts expire in June.
According to a statement by the club relegated from English Premier League (EPL), Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Daniel Amartey, Nampalys Mendy, Ryan Bertrand, Ayoze Perez and Tete will leave the club.
“The Football Club extends its thanks to all seven players for their contributions during their time with Leicester City and wishes them every success in the next stages of their respective careers,” Leicester City said in a statement.
Meanwhile Nigerian duo Iheaacho and Ndidi seem resigned to playing in the Championship next season with the Foxes. Iheanacho has been linked with a move away from the King Power Stadium, but they are likely to stay put if no deal comes their way.
Dean Smith’s side failed to stay in the English top-flight this season and were relegated after finishing 18th.
The club said they were still in talks with team captain Jonny Evans to extend his contract.
