Efe Ajagba kept his ambition of being the world heavyweight champion alive by winning via technical knockout Australian challenger, Joe Goodall Saturday night in Lake Tahoe Nevada, USA.
Ajagba wrapped up the bought in the fourth of their schedule 10 rounds bout taking his record to 19-1 (14 KOs).
He also improve on his ratings as a contender for the WBC belt currently held by Tyson Fury.
Beating Goodall was a sweet revenge for Ajagba. In 2014, the Aussie denied Ajagba the chance to win the gold at the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, Scotland.
But it was a different ball game at the Tahoe Blue Event Centre, as Ajagba dominated the fight with punishing jabs and heavy shots which gradually broke down Goodall.
Goodall proved to be very durable, and in the end, referee Tony Weeks may have stopped the fight early to protect him from further damage.
