Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, said he was enjoying the new role given to him by Enzo Maresca.
Ndidi who now operates from the central midfield provided an assist in Leicester’s 2-1 over West Brom in Saturday’s Championship game at the Hawthorns. The Super Eagles who is coming back from injury proved very effective in his new role.
“Yes, of course, it is an amazing role,” he told Sky sports
“We learn every day; I am actually enjoying myself because it is giving me the awareness to know my surroundings, how to make the run and how to keep it simple sometimes, and I am just enjoying the role, and it’s been brilliant.”
The first half was goalless and Ndidi created Leicester’s first goal in the 72nd minute. The goal was cancelled out by Josh Maja in the 89th minute. But Leicester got the winner to bring their points haul to 46 points from 19 matches. They are topping the league 11 points clear over second placed Leeds United.
