Following his statement that he may be ready to move during the summer transfer window, Chelsea are said to be ready to pay the $130m release clause to land the player.
According to reports by Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport Chelsea are unrelenting in their bid to sign Osimhen and would be ready to make a deal with Napoli for their star striker and also give the African Footballer of Year currently at the African Cup of Nations with the Super Eagles a tempting offer.
Osimhen said Tuesday during an interview with the CBS that he has his mind made up and Napoli were a bit surprised with his statement.
Osimhen said: “I have already made my decision on the next step to do at the end of the season. I already made up my mind. I already have my plan, I know what I want to do, the next step I want to take.
“I think 60% of the people mention the rumours about me linked with the Premier League. The Premier League is one of the biggest leagues in the world.
“I want to finish the season with Napoli strong then come up with the decision I’ve already made.”
