Fuji mega star Wasiu Alabi, a.k.a Pasuma while celebrating his 56th birthday revealed what pushed him into music.
Pasuma said he was a passionate footballer and way back in 1985 his ambition was to play in the maiden FIFA U-17 World Cup, but he was disappointed when he could make the team and that made him to focus his attention to music.
“I was a footballer, so I was invited to camp for the FIFA U17 World Cup,” said Pasuma
“But I decided to go into music because I wasn’t picked to go for the World Cup then, so I now said I want to be a musician straight. I was a footballer before.”
Pasuma, an Arsenal fan, put his football disappointment behind to become, one of Nigeria’s accomplished Fuji musicians.
Instead, he channeled his focus and passion towards music, ultimately carving a niche for himself in the industry. In 1993, he released “Recognition,” his debut album and has followed up with over 30 albums.
