Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has revealed her amazement at the antics of Cameroonian Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene who came to her goalpost searching ‘Juju’ during Monday’s Olympic qualifier in Abuja.
The Super Falcons scraped up a 1-0 win over the visiting Lionesses with an Esther Okoronkwo 14th minute goal. The Super Falcons went on to miss a couple of scoring chances as Cameroon laboured in vain to find the back of the net. And captain Onguene thought Nnadozie’s post was worth investigating for “Juju” interference.
There was a furore in the Nigeria goalpost as Nnadozie, Asisat Oshoala and others contronted the Cameroon Captain.
Commenting on the drama Tuesday, after the video kept trending on social media, Nnadozie wrote on her Instagram page: “Na who dey do Juju, dey fine where juju dey.”
The Super Falcons will play South Africa in the last qualifying hurdle barring any upset from Tanzania. The Bayana Bayana won the first leg in Dar es Salam 3-0, and hopefully they can have cause to look forward to a clash with Super Falcons.
