Following claims by Ayodele Balogun a.k.a Wizkid that he is not an “Afrobeats” artist, rapper Terry Tha Rapper, has accused the ‘Ojuelegba’ hit maker of trying to kill the genre.
Wizkid in an Instagram post noted that being branded an ‘Afrobeats’ artiste was limiting his status as a maker of music across all genres.
Writing on X Terry Tha Rapman claimed that it was Wizkid that killed rap in Nigeria with his statement “rap is dead” and was now trying to do the same with ‘Afrobeats.’
