Bayern Munich top striker Harry Kane has warned his England teammate Jude Bellingham to prepare for ‘war’ when they face each other in the Champions League semi-final.
Bayern Munich beat Arsenal 1-0 and Real Madrid edged out Manchester City via penalty shootout to set up the semi-final tie. Kane said he was looking forward to the big night where England’s two best players are set to go head-to-head for the first time ever.
“Jude has had a fantastic season, he’s a top player,” said Kane
“I’m really happy for him but it will be another war against his team – but that’s the experiences that we both went abroad to try to achieve, to play in these big nights in the Champions League, to play in these big semi-finals.
“It will be one to enjoy and I’m sure there will be a lot of English fans watching both of us. We have to focus on ourselves.
“Of course, I’ll say hello but once we’re on the pitch, it’s business.’
Kane is desperate to win his first career trophy and the Champions League title is the only available opportunity this season.
The first-leg of the tie will be played at the Allianz Arena on April 30, with the second-leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on May 8, with the Wembley final on 1 June.
