Chelsea have made a big offer to former coach Antonio Conte as they target him to replace Mauricio Pochettino who might be leaving at the end of the season.
Conte was in charge of the London club between 2016 and 2018 winning the Premier League in his first season. He was replaced by Thomas Tuchel, who in turn was sacked from the club after winning the Champions League in 2021. Chelsea have struggled to find their balance since then.
Chelsea are ninth on the Premier League table and off Euro spots with five games left to play. According to reports by La Repubblica Chelsea are seriously interested in bringing Conte back to West London for a second spell and have been in close contact in recent days, proposing a lucrative offer to try and convince him of the move.
Milan and Napoli are both targeting the Italian tactician as well, but the former’s focus on a younger sustainable project seems unlikely to tempt the coach and the latter have been waiting for a breakthrough for months.
