Super Eagles coach, Finidi George has admitted that his team would be under pressure to win when they play against South Africa and Benin Republic next month.
The Super Eagles have only picked up two points from two matches in group C of the qualifiers, topped by Rwanda with four points, South Africa are second with three points, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Nigeria’s last opponents have two points, while Benin Republic is at the bottom with one point.
A win against Bafana Bafana in Uyo June 7 will launch the Super Eagles back into reckoning and according to Finidi the match is a must win, if the Super Eagles to make their World Cup qualification certain.
“The games are really important because we know where we stand at the moment. It’s not a good position, to be honest, we should be honest with ourselves,” Finidi told Arise TV
“Where we are at the moment gives us more pressure, because these games are must-win games. They are a must-win games because we don’t know what’s going to happen.
“But it all boils down to us as a team because we know what is at hand and then we know we have to get as much as we can in these two games just to go up there.”
