World acclaimed Nigerian music diva Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems has disclosed that she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement with super star Beyonce Knowles before they started working on her 2022 “Reinassance” album.
Speaking in a New York Times interview Tems who is looking to release her new album ‘Born In The Wild’ in June said working with the former Destiny Child front woman exciting.
“My team just messaged me like, ‘Yo, first of all, I have to send you something to sign. I was losing my mind. Like, What?!”
In addition to Beyoncé, Tems has collaborated with other international celebrities such as Drake, Rihanna, and Future, who included both Drake and her on his Grammy-winning song “Wait For U.”
Meanwhile, Tems stated that her new album was delayed because of illness. The album was according to her was due for release in 2021, but because she had to undergo surgery and wait for a six month period of recovery, the project was put on hold.
“Being a warrior is about not giving up. Even if they cut your leg, you walk on your knees, you fight on your knees using what you have and that’s good enough,” she said.
