Super Eagles coach Finidi George has called up Enugu Rangers defender Kenneth Igboke to replace top stiker Victor Osimhen ahead of their double World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Osimhen was who probably played his last game for Napoli last weekend against Leece picked up an injury, which keep him out for a month, in the Serie A contest and wouldn’t be available for the matches against South Africa on June 7 in Uyo and Benin June 10 in Abidjan Cote d’Ivoire. He has not played for Super Eagles after they reached the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
Findi would have Ademola Lookman, Victor Boniface, Paul Onuachu and Terem Moffi available for the games they must win to stay on course to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, Rwanda leads the group C pairs with four points.
