Victor Osimhen’s destination at the end of the summer transfer window could be Arsenal as his club Napoli are open to swapping Emile Smith Rowe plus cash from the Gunners.
This is just as Chelsea might have given up the quest to sign Osimhen who has made his intention known about playing in the Premier League next season. Napoli are also prepared to listen to offers for their top striker whose contributions earned the Serie A title in the 2023 season.
According to Italian sports daily Corriere dello Sport Napoli are interested in signing Smith Rowe in the summer. His current contract with Arsenal expires in June 2026. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis despite the swap deal could still insist on the full €120-130m fee for the Super Eagles striker who despite a floundering season has scored 17 goals in 31 appearances following a prolific 31-goal haul the previous year.
Meanwhile the other London club Chelsea have lost interest in Osimhen, as they couldn’t match Napoli demands.
“Chelsea and Napoli are not working on a swap deal between Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku. #CFC insist on a £38m release clause for any club keen on signing Romelu Lukaku this summer,” football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on his X page
