Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen said former coach, Finidi George lied about his availability for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Before the two games June 7 and 10, Osimhen was a major doubt due to injury, but according to him he told Finidi he would be available in camp.
However, Finidi accused the player of pulling out of the games on pretence of minor injuries.
The Napoli top striker took to his social media account to clarify the issue. He accused Finidi who has since quit the job of disrespect.
“Everybody knows when I play for Nigeria I play my heart out, I just let everything go,” said Osimhen on live Instagram video.
“But I won’t take disrespect from anybody
“I’ll share the screenshot and videos of my conversation with Finidi for the sake of those believing what Finidi said.
“I’ve lost respect for that man because before I disrespect anybody, I always respect them.
“I asked Finidi George to allow me stay with the players in the camp, but Finidi asked me not to bother that I should stay with my family,” he reacted on Instagram.
“Now after two bad games, everybody is now blaming me.
